Vista Re-install

Howdy,

I was going to re-install Vista, but I need to know if i go through the re-install options if it will put all my files (Pictures, music etc) into a windows.old folder?

as long as you dont tell it to format the drive a windows.old folder should appear

i'd prefer to move my personal files to a second hard drive and do a format. I just did it and was easy enough to copy the relevant App data files back. That way you know everything is clean as it should be.

Just bought a nifty 160gb External Hard drive so im in the proccess of transfering all my stuff onto that. Then i'll do a format and install Vista. Cheers for the advice guys

good call. Always usefull to be able to keep a backup of your most important stuff anyway.
