vista system restore?

i need to do a sytem restore with vista, but i can only go back till 2 weeks ago, and im not 100% on how to do create my own date, when i go to create a restart point, i type in a date in the description, and it just comes up in the options as todays date and the time i created it, any help appreciated please.

been searching the net and i dont need to create my own date all i need to know is how to choose a later date than shown in the list of dates that come up, does anybody know how to do this??

Dont think you can..only saves so many as it would take up too much space otherwise. Creating your own makes one for the present, if you know what I mean.

yeah thats what i thought, any way i can reset the whole pc so every thing is gone?

Depends what PC you have. but yer theres probably a recovery hard disk partition. Whats the make and model...

its an advent, bought it last year. not 100% sure on the model it sais andvent 7113, would that be the model. its a lap top by the way.
