DarthCake said:f**king hell its a blatant account hijack! Jesus!
Josh said:maybe hes gone mad! bet you would kick yourself if somebody really got this car for £4300 !!
DarthCake said:have a wild outrageous guess....
DarthCake said:I don't have an attitude.. :S Don't take things the wrong way mate. lol.
DarthCake said:Ahhh ok mate. Basically scammers guess/hack peoples accounts by working out their passwords.
Then they setup false listings, people think "wow" a cilo v6 for £4,300 and stupidly email the person and say yeah i'll have it, end up paying for it by western union or simialr and never ever see their money or the car again.
Its very similar to the 419er scam.

Managed to "hack" into their email account (password reminder: pet........ answer was cat!) there we're loads and loads of ebay items they'd been bidding on, I changed their password and left it
Shaunbrass said:Oh sh*t yeah!!!! im selling a z-500 on ebay at the mo and i get an email saying he will give me 220 quid for it (its worth prob 100 at most) its for his father in NIGERA!
I guess that was a close one then im kinda worried now

DarthCake said:There ya go.
All you need to do is read what they send you. Engage our brain and read it carefully. If you are unsure either ask advice or post on the Ebay community forum.
If it sounds too good to be true - it usually is.
