Waaaaay too hot!

I know Valvas get hot its normal but when mine gets so hot that a little smoke comes out of the bonnet vent from the EXTREMELY hot exhaust manifold it makes me question the reliabilityof the thing - plus the smell is pretty bad! Like burning oil! Im sure there isnt any on the manifold though and it only smokes and gets REALLY smelly when the oil gets between 90 and 100 degrees. Any ideas?

what colour is the smoke mate? you will get some vapour coming up through the vent because of the heat coming up through-but only when youre not moving

Rocker cover gasket letting oil thru onto the manifold?

Same thing happened to mine, needed the rocker cover gasket changed. Quite easy to do.
