at the minute (20 years old, 2 years no claims, 3 points) im paying 1750 to insure the 182

got a quick quote a few months back for me being a year older and having 3 years no claims from tesco for £1200 quite happy at that.

anyway. just got a quote with directline - £989

so i reckon when renewal time comes i should be able to shop around and get it for about £900

tempted to actually keep the 182 now..

ohhh interesting. Mine's up in March, last year 21 years old, 1 year no claim £1400 with Greenlight. This coming March 22 years old, 2 years no claims should be a lot cheaper than 1400 then!!!

i had an idea that mine would get alot cheaper when i turned 21, as when i rang places such as directline, tesco, etc at 20years old they said they wouldnt quote me untill im 21.

Well not sure if age make a big difference , but i am 23, 1 years no claims, 3 point , girlfriend on insurance same age , for 800 pound fully comp , with Elephant. Also try Admiral

Im with elephant 23, 0 no claims (first year as main driver), 3 points and im paying £1250 without mods, £1431 with mods. So no claims makes a hell of a difference.
I found most companies wouldnt insure untill i was 25.

bell (part of admiral and elephant) came out at 1300 odd!

but looking at it.. i can get a newish bmw 320d convertible insured for around a grand too..
