Waited years to take this pic - at last my car is safe

After having to park the 182 on street for nearly a year (during which time it was keyed, scratched and front bumper badly scraped twice by other people who can't park) it's safe at last. It now gets to sleep in here every night, and I can't tell you how fantastic that is!

Hated having to park the 172 on street before that, and basically having the parking situation ruling my life.

Result mate.

Sorry to hear about all the problems you have had, but at least there is a happy ending to all this!

thats great news mate, nice little garage and you will sleep better at night. i really need a garage im going through the same shite as you did at the moment we bought our first house 16 months ago now and touch wood its not been damaged but i know how it feels to worry and jump out of bed at 3 in the morning every time a car alarm goes off my car is parked out on the street and kids play around it. were looking to move mid nxt year but i doubt we will have a garage, but a drive with a gate will do for me.

anyways proper jelous.

LOL I didn't think of that, I'm sure hundreds of people across the web would be willing to donate to my bumper respray fund ;) . Had the key scratch repaired ages ago though, cost £150 :( .

Meggerman - weekends were the worst with drunk chavs wandering around the street smashing car windows etc - I feel for you mate :dapprove: .

Yes I have, thanks mate :) . Moved out of my flat in Portsmouth to a 3-bed semi in a quiet cul-de-sac near Fareham (about 10 miles down the road). Now I'm 5 mins from work, and it's just a world away. Only moved in on April 1st, so I still have loads to do!

top stuff, we bought a home in which every room needed redoing, fitted new kitchen and done the garden also painted a few rooms, bought it off my GF`s granny for about 18k less than its worth so once done up middle next year we should be in the market for something with at least a nice drive and gate a bit away from the road (mine is like a meter away from the road and screeming kids.

nice one fella i hate parking mine on the drive, just i have a suzuki samurai in the garage that needs selling.

I've actually got a garage at the moment by it's a 4 year old house and they dn't make garages as big as they used to - my last car (a Punto) barely fitted in. No hope of getting the Clio in because of the 5 bikes we've got

But I'm moving house in 8 weeks - bigger garage with remote roller door, and guess who's getting the remote

It is reassuring knowing it's safe and well at night, although my garage is a bit worse for wear - currently looking into knocking it down and building a super duper one (well, better anyway!)

i remember when i first got my 172 and used to park it in my mum and dads garage i used to creep down stairs on a nite and climb in my pj`s lol :D smell the leather and it was all mine, cant do that now L( well i havent got any leather in the cup anyway and its a shite interior compared with a full fat but still before i get a meganesport i want a garage first so i can do the same

nice one mate.. hopefully i'll be in the same boat tomorrow..

putting the brakes back on the fto, moving it out the driveway and putting the clio in the garage because im sick of seeing these s***s kicking balls near the clio. just had to move it round th ecorner earlier as the ball kept flying over near it.

havent had this car safe and tucked away in the garage yet.. cant wait!

Nice one mate! Garages are the future!!

My 182's home..... raaaa!!

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOH now that's what I call a garage!! That's lovely. I'd love block-paving but I'm skint after the move..

I'm very careful when I open the door, but I must definitely get some old carpet on the wall, you're right.

im glad i am now able to join the garaged car crew once again :)

only problem is its a ball ache everytme i want to get it out due to a WIP fto being infront of it in the driveway.

Here is my old garage ... it was huge..
Dont have 1 now tho so the clio is left out in the cold.

God yeah, that's a good size. No worries about the door hitting the wall there. (I must find some carpet today, I've already managed to scrape the wing mirror as I was backing out! ).
