There's no way a rear bench weighs 30 KG :S Was that including the ISO bar ?!
makes me laugh when people strip out something that weighs fuk all

I only want to remove my back seats so i can fit harnesses, but i might just fit the harness' on track days, only take 5mins to remove the rear seats.
Why ?
Lets call the rear bench 20kg .. iso 10 .. spare wheel/tyre/jack is about 25 .. belts 2 each .. carpet and board 3 .. front seats > buckets + subframes saves about 30 kg or more .. that's nearly 100kg already without trying.
I weigh 65KG....
30 mins work to take out the equivilent of a passenger and a half (ish) is not bad going. Changing the exhaust and popping a decat in (as the OEM one weighs more than the moon) and the wheels to something like Ultraleggeras and you've lost the mass of 2 passengers (without going to the extreme of calculating the rotating mass savings on top of that) !
That's not bad going at all... less mass means less inertia.... better handling, economy, braking distances improved, and a higher P:W means faster acceleration.
Still laughin' ? :rasp:
You'd be surprised how heavy those 'minor' things are. I was shocked when I picked up the front carpet up!
And if you remove a load of little things, that adds up to a lot too.
Why do you think F1 designers try to remove as much weight from trivial things like the wing mirrors?

What will you actually gain by stripping it? f**k all.

Because there is nothing in it between the F1 cars, so 1kg saving for them could be the differnce between 1st and 2nd
They all rock to a minimum weight level .. the only advantage is they can put the weight back in, exactly where they want it for balance/handling.
Is it a daily? If it is dont do it.
How long do you plan to keep it? If its not long dont do it.
What do you use it for? If its involves commuting and motorway dont do it.
Do you plan to get different seats? If so then you may aswell.
If you convince yourself that you need to strip it to be faster on a trackday, buy another car. Clio's aren't that quick, and will never be that quick. And that's not really the point of trackdays.
If it's going to be used as a roadcar, don't bother. You'll ruin it.
Pop the rear seats out for a trackday, makes it easier to lug about jacks/tools/wheels etc. Otherwise, just don't bother.
