saw this earlier, was proper tempted. there's a tasty 2 dr (blue) on pistonheads as well, just be rebuilt and is ripe for a play about with.

My dad used to have 2 Mk1 Mexicos (a red and a yellow) that are my all-time favourite cars.
When I was 14 he bought a red Mk2 1600 Mexico that he dropped a 2L Capri lump into.
I remember that thing being the absolute daddy!
I loved it so much that he bought me a 1300 GL (with a vinyl roof, no less!) for my first car. I loved that too, but after the beast that was dads "RS Mex" - it was a bit of a let-down
