No mate it's fixed. But can you customize the idle settings even more?
Learn how to heel toe so you can hold the revs under heavy braking?
You need to be checking your engine and gearbox mounts along with the dogbone mount/bushes.I don't have ABS (anymore) on my car.
I don't heel and toe. Never tried it. Could be the solution ... ...
I do brake on the engine.
On the Ring you have to brake really hard in third gear. The cars revs from all the way up to all the way down real quick. That's when it pops out. So, it pops out before i can release the brake pedal to go to the brake pedal (to engage second gear for instance). Most of the times you just want it to stay in third.
Well there's only a few things that'll make it jump out of gear mate - excessive movement, incorrect linkage adjustment or the gear retainers in the box.@NorthloopCup: That's what a thought but both have been checked.
Grab the back of the inlet manifold and try to pull it towards you as hard as you can mate. Look out for any movement.@NorthloopCup: you're right, I know ... ...
Engine movement should be visible when revving at standstill?
What's the best way to check for the right linkage setting?
Any idea how to check if the retainers are the problem?
Thanxs for your answers. Really helps me.

Gear linkage is a doubtful one tbh unless you've moved it at all recently? If not, discount it, but check the linkage for free play at the gearbox end from underneath.
Retainers are only check able with the box open. Could also be the 3rd/4th gear selector fork worn.
I'm assuming you ain't uk based?
It could be the retainer for the selector hub has worn/lost its tension mate. There isn't really much else it could be tbh.Without hijacking the thread, I've got a similar sort of problem on my 182.
It's quite hard to explain but when changing from 1st to 2nd, sometimes it kind of pops out when you are just moving it out of 1st. Heard of something like this before? I've got a modified scenic shifter from Ash-B on here and had that on a while but only noticed this recently. Changed gearbox oil about a month ago with Elf NJF or whatever it is and polybushed the dogbone but that's it.
