warning light after de-cat

When i had my exhaust with de-cat the guy at prospeed said id get the engine warning light on the dash come on after 100 miles or so but ive done a few thousand and it hasn't showed should i be worried or am i just lucky?

lucky. he may have just been covering his own back though. if the second lamba has been taped up correctly it shouldnt come on

The old mans was fine till after a few 1000 miles, then it decided to come on.

light came on mine after bout 500 miles... nothing to worry bout anyway

What decats have you people got , is it a certain make that doesn't get the light on or is it pot luck . I might look at getting one sometime , any pics of the lambda sensor ,tube .....?

I had mine done at prospeed you can either have it with a silencer or without, i had one without and my exhaust sounds lovely now.



Cheers guys i thought it would definitely come on so was wondering if i was going to run into problems if i kept on ignoring the fact that it hadn't. Im glad it hasn't now though!

Had no light for nearly 10k miles now. Mine's plugged into the boss made for it. Got my decat from GDI.

Had mine on a couple of thousand and no light yet. Got a prospeed one.
