Warning light on my dashboard

  Suzuki Ignis Sport
Was driving earlier, and was in a bit of traffic, so it was stop start stop start constantly...

Now and then, there was a light that appeared in my dashboard.. it was the bang right in the middle one... like a graphy on the top, and some curly springs beneath it...

When i turned my engine off, and on again, the light was gone, but after a while it came back up. What is this telling me?

search button dude, been done a million times, either coil pack, or ECU loom getting cut into by the cover.

had this on mine mate, fraid its a renault delearship job, they need to plug it into there computers. Most likely a dodgy coil pack, it may go into limp mode at the same time, were your car takes ages to accelerate

not always, ECU loom gets cut into, can just be a bit of tape to fix it.

I used to get that on my last Clio (1.2 16v aswell coincidentally) it means there is an electrical fault of some sort, my engine kept cutting out when it was coming up on my dash and turned out i needed to get the wiring loom and a crankshaft sensor replaced. Hope this helps.

if your coil pack has gone it will go in limp mode and you will have nooo power. have you recently changed the plugs?

Or fitted something like one of those stupid fu*king things off ebay, the little resistor things that give you an extra 500bhp hahaha ...piece of s**t

i suggest you take it into a dealership get it diagnosed properly asap better safe than sorry

ye will be the Coil plugs, if you got warranty left take it back and theyl put it on the machine and come back negative, and blame the Induction Kit, but say your friends happend and it was the coil plugs, and theyl change them and itl be ok. I had mine cuttin off on the motorway whilst overtaking a lorry could have been a massive accident lucky i was quick enogh to hit the hazzards and the lorry saw.
