Warning to clio 1.2 03onwards

Yesterday i had a problem with my clio my local renault mechanic told me its a control unit behind the dash which could of been broken by damaging the wires whislt changing a headunit. It f**ked the imboliser and central locking and u cant do anything to start the car till its changed apparently left me in a right mess lol baffled me and a mechanic and the AA for ages.

Do not know if this is common knowledge and known about but thought id share anyway as it i think its going to be quite costly to fix.

connector blocks can be used to fix the damaged wire. shouldnt take that much effort spotting it. the dash may have to come off depending on length of wire though which will require lots of effort!

Yeah man but its a small audio shop that i will never use again that were doing it free as a favour because i brought an expensive unit they dnt want to know
