Warrant EU Import

Hi Guys,

Im picking up a new CLio 172 EU Import Monday & was contemplating fitting a Magnex rear box to make it look more the part. Apparently it sounds well cool. Does anyone know if this will effect insurance with Tescos who I plan to use. Also will this effect the warranty.

On that subject has anyone had experiences trying to upgrade a warranty for 3 years. Who is the best person to speak to at Renault UK?? Anything to be mindful of etc,etc.

As far as I know, the exhaust will come with its own warranty so thats not a problem, and you will need to notify your insurance company.

By the way, search Telford_mike for plenty of pictures of the a magnex back box on a 172!!

Cheers mate, that well good. Im trying to be subtle in making the 172 stand out a bit more so may also get some alloys. I believe the one on the cup are OZ Super Ts. I was going to ask a Renault dealer if they could supply if not do you know of the cheapest place?

What colour 172 are you getting? I photoshopped some Cup wheels onto mine and they looked wrong. Mines Monaco Blue.

Cheers Lee, Its pearl black...My old man has got exactly the same motor (colour as well), except he paid over 16 grand for his although it does have sat nav (show off!!).

Lee looks the biz with those alloys. I saw the magnex pics & have to say it transforms the car. I saw them advertised in Max Power but they only show the exhaust available for the Mk 1. I take it that it judging from the pics it will fit a Mk 2? If that is the case, I wonder why magnex havent updated their website. Have you modded your car in any way??

Give Renault UK a ring asap and they will tell you how to get ya warranty. Those alloys look great, Ive seen them on a silver 172 very nice!!

Lots of people have Magnexs on their 172s with no problems, its Magnex who seem to be confused...long story!!! Im saving for a magnex at the mo

Mines still stock other than the air filter. My car is too much a mode of transport for me to do much to it. Although I can see a backbox finding its way onto it in the not to distant future. Its all Mikes fault, all those tasty looking zorts shots.

There are loads of posts on exhausts for the 172, just do a search for them.
