water leak what sealent should i use

hi,

leaking badly in the rear seems to come left light cluster. has had a rear sunt and a bad repair which has been sorted but i wonder if there is some kind of sealent i can use, i know the metal is galvanised but i dont take kindly to this level of water its like a swimming pool sometimes, ive left it a month or so and finally now ive decided that it needs doing before i recarpet the back where the rear seats where

Have lights got "black foam seals" ???????????????????

Also position cables, so as wires run UP into car not DOWN........

no i can see wires if i peak into the gap where the rear light is if thats what you mean ??

il try some silicone sealent
 
Undo knob,release rear lights, where cables enter car, lights should have a foam seal / gasket.

Reassemble then,

Position wires so they are pointing up into car, water only runs down.
