Water with oil

i heard about a bloke who had oil water mixing on a golf but not at the junction with head and block (head gasket) he describded it was on of the bores becoming porous which i guess was through wear. didnt guery it but replaced the bottom end to resolve it after fitting two head gaskets without fault

might be leading you up a dark alley but its an example!

Another long shot as its very difficult to get the oil oil out of the expansion tanks etc meaning a car with a recently replaced head gasket appears knackered still but thats just through making short cuts

if its not the headgasket you could have a cracked head itself.when you strip it send the head off to be pressure tested for cracks.

The engine is proper fooked i tell the.

But the water was in with the oil not oil in my expansion tank with the water.

another possibility if head gasket seems ok, is oil cooler at head of oil filter, think this is an oil/water exchanger, and there could be a prob there, just a suggestion, far more likely to be head gasket
