Waterpump fault! :S

  Seat Ibiza
I took my car to a local Renault specialist today for the cambelt, they've started stripping it down and noticed the water pump is weeping and the bearings are f**ked.
I told them that there was a wurring noise as if it was a idler bearing as i've been reading on here that the water pumps are normally bulletproof, anyway i've told them to go ahead but asked them to keep it to one side for me to look at.
Does this sound right?
I will try and upload some pics later!

Cheers
Dan

Yeah very true, the car has only done 40k thou! But hey, at least it was found at the garage not the side of the motorway!
Could this be due to wrong coolant?
I'm a HGV mechanic and we generally use the standard blue coolant, but i know some of them are meant to have inhiberator in with it, and this has lead to a few failures of waterpumps. Is the clio meant to have a special on in the system?
