Weak Horn?

Hey peeps,

I was messing about the other day with some mates in our college car park, and blasting my horn. We all know what Clio horns sound like, not bad for a small car, however mid blow, it suddenly changed into a weak girly kinda horn and now its stuck like that? Is there any ways of fixing this? lol, odd one I know. :lolup:

Yes. Don't blast your horn with your mates in the carpark at college. Innit.

It probably has either a bad earth or you've damaged one of the units. Perfectly simple to fix, costs £15 quid max from a scrappies like JoshyDee's Cliospares company.

Those "sports" horns any good?
PIAA etc - you can get them new for about 20-30 quid

Trev, meant to last longer as they have protection over the horn (lol) meaning water is less likely to ruin them.

I had a similar sounding issue recently, cleaned up the earth connection and it is a lot better now.

After my horn started failing and sounding way too girly (it was rusty and full of water by the way) i went for one of these beasts: STEBEL Nautilus Air Horn COMPACT
