Weight of 1.2 16v

Car  Mk2 Golf GTI


Ive just looked on parkers and it says that my 2003 Clio 1.2 16v weighs 1400kg!!! Is this true as that would make it only 150kgs less than a BMW M3:confused:

I know they are quite safe and solid but can they really weigh almost half a ton more than a saxo!?
 


that sounds more reasonable but i would have thought they would be more heavy than that as a saxo is about 930kgs
