A quick tidy up project, "Ill make an easy £500 on that"......... "I like that wee car i might run it for a wee while" - Usual story for me, been here before!....

Anyway, seen a 2005 Clio 1.2 16v Extreme 4 listed on eBay, Starting at £100, Pics were rubbish, description was rubbish. - But it was only 15 miles away.

stuck a bid in the last 5 seconds and won it, £155, worst case it needs an engine, ill still be quids in, Description does say spares or repairs but doesn't mention if it runs or not. Messaged the seller and turns out it doesn't, turns over slowly, sounds horrible, doesn't start, engine may be starting to seize. so i gave my mate a shout who has a recovery truck.

I was away in Leeds with work and got a text from my Mrs saying assume this is something to do with you?...

Got home had a look around it, needs a good clean, bit of bubbling on the rear quarters at each side but otherwise looks fairly straight, so me and my young lass got to work, tried to turn it over...


At first it sounded terrible then i remembered, "IVE BEEN HERE BEFORE!"

Cut the alternator belt off it..

Gave the insides a shampoo as it was horrid.

and a detar, clay and quick run over with the machine polisher..

Found a refurbished ph2 gear knob insert (gear pattern indented rather than printed on the ph3)

Its an AC car, although some ersehole has removed the condenser and snipped an AC pipe (watch this space :ROFLMAO: ) who remembers the genious mk2 clio AC cooled glovebox?!!!

Not bad, you brave enough to put it through an MOT?
Ironically it still has MOT on it! but only a month or so, ill stick it for a test once ive given it a once over. There's a wheel bearing in the boot so assume it needs at least one of those :ROFLMAO:

It has the usual ph3 peeling heating control panel, so ive got one on route from spain from an early car (they dont suffer the same failure)
