weird noise on startup

Hi all

I'm new on here and to be honest know very little about cars, which is why I'm on here to try and get help and advice from people that know.

I have a 172 cup and recently have started noticing a weird noise when I first start the car. To me it sounds like a radio control car for the first few minutes of driving. It goes away, but was just wondering if anyone knows what it might me and if its a problem or not.

Could be sticky solonoid on starter motor. Does it only last for a few seconds?? You can try taking it off and rebuilding/greasing it.

I get a whiny noise from cold startup. The garages I've been to including Renault said it's the Aux belt making the noise & is supposedly common.

Is the car due a cam or aux belt chnage?
