Weird!

Standing behind the car there is a strange ''squeak'' coming from what sounds like the exhaust. Its nothing from the engine but theres is definitly a squeak coming from the back , when sitting at idle. Any ideas??

i dont know what im looking for:dapprove: im so thick when it comes to mechanical side of things. Exhaust mounts where on my advisory note from birchdown. Would they possibly be the cause then? sorry for the stupid questions

if you get underneath your car your see the mounts there what the exhaust hangers go into its mainly the back one that goes on the left hand side and sits just behind the passenger rear wheel.

ive had a 172 and a 182 where the mountings have work so much that the hanger on the exhaust had worn through the rubber mounting causing a sqeeking noise. (metal and metal)

bodge it, can make better than oem with a bodge on this particular part

inch long bits of ruber pipe all fitted into the square bit

what about the ktec exhaust mounts?

could be movement in the joins in the system, especially if you have those cr*py collar, dome shaped joins - cat/catback etc. Pinch them up see if it helps.
