Torque steer is a bit of a problem but i will sort that when i get time!!

Also grip is an issue especially in this weather, must get new tyres!!

He has given me some sound advice on other bits n pieces and im really pleased with it!!

NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!!!!!!!

have you read the more recent reviews of the Toyos???

in wet conditions, very very poor, in dry, adequate, lifespan - between 6k and 10k driving style dependant

best tyres for this country are the Uniroyal Rainsports, Eagle F1s, so much better than everything in the wet and dry, and last for a little longer than the toyos

funny that – I felt exactly the same when I got my willy engined 16v on the road after the swap, its felt loads faster but it did torque steer like hell and the mechanic who done most of the fitting wasn’t that impressed with it as a result (he does own a Ferrari!) but my Williams doesn’t suffer from torque steer hardly at all. I’ve heard of Mk2 golf owners using lower sub frames to eliminate torque steer when doing VR6 swaps, the more inlive the drive shafts are the less the torque steer I think the theory is, either way perhaps lowering or even full R19 wishbones and drive shafts (willy spec) would help?

It a very fun car none the less.

Fuel economy got better with mine too! Standard F7P to stage 1 F7R with the 16v box gave better fuel economy!?

Smokey, how much did it all cost you to get done? Also, whats insurance like? I wanna get the conversion but im only 19 and insurance would be a bit of a prob!

I think the 2.0 and 1.8 16v engines look exactly the same, so insurance isnt a problem.

Its a lot of pennies boys!! about 170000 pennies to be precise!! that dont include the interior thou!

Insurance is the same for some reason;)

The engines are exactly the same apart from the engine number!!;)

i agree with you. TOYO tyres have a very short life span and arent really that great in the dry. a mate of mine rolled his car when he had TOYOs on his car. they were bald after only 5k

Smokes, well have to have a play on a private track when i come over for the suspension. Have you ordered polyurethane bushes yet? Or are you going for rubber? I didnt realise you were getting a conversion. I also have another money making idea. Speak later on msn.

I have Toyos on my car and they pretty good in the dry but sh*t in the wet. Have done 8k them and will need re-placing soon. How much are the Goodyears in 195/45/15s as I got Toyos for 45 each fitted.
