were does starter motor heat sheild clip to?

I broke mine trying to clip the bloody thing on! and just orderd new one can someone tell me what it clips to so i dont break it again lol

Got to change my starter motor tonight. Save all the faffing i will just remove the exhaust manifold from the head and hope theres enough clearence then by pushing it backwards a bit.

Sod that i couldent even get heat sheild on proply renault dident leave much room in these engine bays atall! Had to change my engine loom last night wasent to bad i think the plugs for the startermotor were the worst to get on lol

will put it down to the hot weather melting my brain will admit i did have to stop and think when you said between starter and solenoid and then remembered forgetting to put one back on the other week:banghead:

Why? I did mine in an hour this morning. Bit of a fiddle, but all you need to remove is the upper inlet and some wiggling to get it out

Turned out to be battery in the end lol.

How did you get on getting the heatshield back on bertieg

197 one is metal and looks more sturdy. Not tried fitting one yet though but looks like it would go.
