Wet sanding basecoat?

  Titanium 182
I'm currently in the process of spraying my Cup spoiler, I've applied the first basecoat today, but I was just wondering if I should wet sand between each coat to keep it smooth? With it being metallic will this not take away the flake?

I could just do the basecoat, then laquer and wet sand that back to a smooth surface but I want to try and get it done all in the prep rather than work on the end finish!

this!!

Don't need to sand basecoat unless you make a bit of a mess of it. Any little bits of dust that stick to the basecoat should disappear once you lacquer. Doesn't matter how well you prep it, with rattle tins you still won't get a perfect finish without wet sanding and polishing it once lacquered.

  A special one.
No no no, paint the base coat on and leave it to "flash" off for about 5 mins then paint the clear coat over the top. Once dry then flat and polish.
If you leave the 1st coat (base) to long and it drys the clear coat will not have a key to grip onto this will also cause problems.
