something out of Renault.

I bought a Clio 182 May last year brand new and I have just received the car back now from Lookers having had it's THIRD engine.... ARe they kidding me or what. The car was fine for 10,000 miles then had a major oil blow out and the engine ceased. Had a new engine, does 3000 miles and completely fails me and get's replaced again.

Have wrote renault a letter saying not happy at all and obviously I will probably never be able to sell this car for any decent amount so have asked for a replacement or option to upgrade in some form.. Anyone had any similar problems and been successful with Renault??

Even tho I have the car back now, I really have lost all enthusiasm for it...

I think you'd have a good chance of some serious compensation mate. Get on to Renault UK about it. It has obviously affected your re-sale value.

Ring renault customer services, something seem untoward. 172/182 engine failures seem quite rare.

Thats a bit of a sh*tter mate. Think you have a very strong case there indeed, if you have no luck with Renault, you can probably seek legal advise on how best to approach the situation, but thats only if things go proper pete tong and i'm sure it will all get sorted. Best of luck.

second engine went when I was driving home, sounded like a lot of crackling in the engine bay like stones hitting it, but obv there wasn't any, then the car had no power and steering became completely f*ked for word... Managed to get it on the curb, turned it off, tried to turn it on and it wouldn't start and that was that!
