What are these called and where can I get them??

Hi guys

I’m in need of two of these ABS WIRING (thanks @bloke ) holder things and their screws as my new shocks don’t have them... the old ones aren’t worth my time...

Do they NEED to be on or can I get away with not replacing them?

Thanks

Something like this

.. you could cable tie the wire to the damper, just need to make sure it’s away from the wheel/tyre .. those brackets are the neater solution

Yep, as soon as @bloke told me what they were actually for, I found those... I may go with the cable ties option, I like a bargain resolution ?

you running abs?

Currently, yes. It’s not something I’ve considered removing as of yet. Is it an easy DIY job

Try a breaker such as Renparts l am sure they will find you a pair of those brackets for a few pounds.
I know they just had a low mileage 182 in from an insurance company.

I wouldn’t do that on safety items (such as brakes and ABS sensors)....use the correct bracket which is designed to prevent the cable touching any suspension parts and possibly chafing/causing an ABS failure.
It’s not as if you can’t get the correct parts.

I've had cable tied abs sensor wires and pad wear sensors on various cars for years without issue. If you cable tie them sensibly there is no problem. But for £13 I would personally just buy the nice shiny brackets!
