this explaination is very basic but here goes. the rotor arm is connected directly to ur exhaust cam an turns with it. basically its a arm with a metal contactactor and when it turns it makes a conection with one of the four contact points of the distributor cap and sends an electical pulse down the ht lead thats conected to that contactor. bascically it controls the timing of ur spark plugs. then u look in your engine bay you will see where they are located just follow your leads from your spark plugs. my advice to you would be BUY A HAYNES! and then you should be able to do it easily.
dizzy cap - distributer cap. the black plastic thing on top of the distributer that the ignition leads go into from the spark plugs.
rotor arm - ugh..mmm...rotor arm. the bit inside the dizzy cap that spins round and conducts the ignition spark to the contacts inside the cap. hits each one in turn sending a spark to the plugs in the proper sequence.
