What breather to use on the mk1

lol i thought it might have been gone over before, but i can only find them for the mk2's etc...

i rekon it will follow suit tho as in: panel with modified box being better performance wise and open filter more for noise

  S2000
as said above. Open filter will give you great noise but will lose performance whereas a closed panel filter will give you better performance but no noise.

Brown.

i have used piper viper with cold feed straight to the ground, and panel filter in origonal box with feed straight to the ground.....i found that the panel kept the engine very free and fuel consumption very good....the piper was bad for fuel and sound was more then performance......so i say panel cheeper and keeps things nicer i think

how do you modify the airbox matey?

what brand panel filter is best for the mk1's then, heard good things about green!

i just drilled a couple of bg boxes in my airbox to give a meaty sound :) its not quite as good a sound as a cone filter, but theres barely anythin in it

ahhh sweet, the design of the RT airbox is cack, would probs drill a few holes underneath though ;)

i cant imagine theres much difference between the mk1/2 airboxes. if you order from gdi or yozzasport im sure they'll give you good advice

green and itg panels seem popular!

i know it aint a mk 1 but i had a itg on my 182 and it was a lot better than an open filter for performance

not sure how to mod a mk1 airbox but improving the air feed and flow to the box is what you need so perhaps bigger openings and maybe a few drilled holes ;)
