What car ???

Right help guys,

My mate needs a newer car, he has got a car he can use for scrappage discount.

Budget is "about" £8k but that can go more or less.

Needs to be slightly bigger than a clio (Mk3 would probably be ok) but not too big (Estate too big)
He wants it mainly for commuting, he also wants air con. He isn't bothered about having something fast or expensive to run but he doesn't want it to be sluggish.

Insurance can't be too expensive (Hes 23 nearly) He doesn't mind if its diesel or petrol but is thinking around the 1.6 engine size for a petrol.

Hes looking at fiat bravo's at the moment but reckons they might be a bit big.

Finally it has to be "comfy"

What do you guys suggest ?

Spelling and grammar probably suck but I can't be arsed.*

lol pffff whatever.

i may or may not have read the OP ;)

SRS tho, u can pick up a mint 525 TDS for £1,500 - and it will look nicer than most newer cars. and hold its value.

edit - i've now run out of posts :(

MJ - not cheapskate, i just dont own a Clio, so dont see the point ;) bimmerforums.co.uk is free :p (but is less entertaining)
