I'm looking into buying a da polisher, not got alot in the way of money so been looking at the 'kestrel' ones on i4detailing. Which would you all recommend?

I've seen kits for soft-medium paint and kits for medium-hard? Whats best for a black gold?

Thanks

Personally go for the Menzerna Kit 2 on this page..

The "soft-medium" and "medium-hard" is a bit more difficult to explain. Renault Paint is generally quite soft. But there is no reason that you can't buy the kit I mention above. You just get an extra more aggressive polish with it. By using a less aggressive polishing pad you can still use the heavier cutting polish.

Does that make any sense?

I bought everything sperately as I couldn't find a kit I liked. I ended up getting a selection of menzerna polishes (PO85RD, PO106FA and 3.02) I could of done with some S500 aswell TBh but the finish wasn't too bad. I used the Sonus pads. Depends what condition the paints in but I'd recomend 2x cutting, 2x polishing and a finishing pad or 2 if you have the cash. I bought a selection of spot pads too but hardly used them so again, depends if you have the cash.

Finish after 3.02 and cutting pad on the megane.
