What do i need to spray my car

  2005 Nissan Navara

if ur askin how to do it when it comes to something that u really dont want to f**k up, maybe its best u get someone that can do it

<if you in the north-west try G maddocks > they are currently doing mine £700> thats all in inc: flush tailgate, sideskirts fitted flushed rear bumper blah blah blah...

In terms of kit:

Air compressor (can rent from HSS etc), good quality spray gun, masking tape, plastic sheeting, a very clean dust free environment, thinners, primer, whatever coloured paint, laquer if the colour is metalic/perleacnt , loads of wet and dry sandpaper, infra red lamps and protective gloves /mask/ overalls and sh*t loads of patientce.

And of course, you need to know how to spray paint properly.

Id go to a body shop if i were you. If you dont have the kit already itll probably cost you over half of what the bodyshop will charge.

erm okaaaaay, im spraying my wing mirror trims this weekend, sure i dont need all that to do a simple job like that! Mind you - a body shop wouldnt chardge too much to spray mirrors?

i know £700!! i nearly died when he told me that price>> AND it was origainly £600 but i started getting carried away with things like delocking and engine parts/strut brace sparyed

i wuz getting quotes like £1200+ before hand.

ive also seen the work he has done.. (v. good)

well my car should be out end of next week, i think? ill post up some pics

now back on topic: erm i wouldnt spraying anything your self unless you have natural abilities to spay things or you a pro!

spraying is a more skilled job then people think. if youve never done it before or havent any clue what to do then you will f**k it up.

lol! i found that a super soaker 500 is the best, but the plastic tends to react with the thinners....??

i did that once, super soaker full of petrol with a bonfire going....lasted about 10 mins before it turned to goo.
