What do Tuning Boxes actually do?

Are these things shat?

I read mixed reviews. Was thinking of getting one for my 4 banger diesel but the mixed reviews are putting me off with how unreliable the car has been. I read they just up the fuel pressure, ecomony not a problem but I dont want to blow my engine up.

Defo dont want a remap (warranty innit).

Yes they basically just up the fuel pressure on a common rail diesel. Although its easy to keep them under a safe amount.

I have had a tuning box on my Dci for 50k since new and never had an issue. Massive difference too, its awful when i have to take it off for service etc.

And personally i wouldnt be getting one thats that expensive. From about £70 upwards they all do the same job.
