what do u think renault wud charge for a new ecu, plus setting it up

thankfully iv bought a ecu, uch, pick up ring, keys x2,
but just would like to know how much renault would charge for all these parts,
plus fitting + re-coding it all back up,

When the ECU went on my 1.2 it was replaced under warranty and they reckoned it was around £600. Add keys and stuff and yeah I'd guess you'd be over a grand.

it's going to be a lot mate. You're better off getting a second hand ECU, UCH, Key, Barrell set off here. That way it's just plug and play really. All you'll need to do is switch ignition on, then off, lock and unlock the car and you're good to go.

wont start , immobiliser light is on ,so wen i'm trying to turn it over, its doing nothing, just the little click u hear wen ur wipers come, iv got 2 keys so iv tryed both, had an auto elecy out to it, but my ecu wouldnt connect to his michine, so he just unclipped it , n said renault job that, got in his van n fucked off sharpish, so its booked into renault thursday morning, to see what they come up with,hopefully its nothing major,

Cancel your appointment and I'll plug it in my Renault diagnostic for you. Sounds similar to my issue a while back. Pm me, I'm free all weekend, or could pop round one evening
