What do you think is best

  BMW E92/Audi S3
for ultimate low low.. but safely low.
I'm getting the car slammed in a few weeks, im thinking 80 at the back and 60 at the front? but personally i think 80 isnt low enough lol.

i wouldnt get lower at the back, you will be pointing upwards, iv got 60mm
and it points down a fraction. dont think that would look right.
if any thing the oppisite way round.

like 80 at the back and bit lower at the front so it points down....?

edited....i dont know numbers as i havent measured it against a standard one....its FK highsports set to max on the back with no spacer rings in....so its as low as the coils will go basically...

oh yeah i can tell now. is it possible to go 90? :S

You cna go even lower depend how extrem you want

Foxy can you do me a favour and we can then compare see how low your car realy is compaired to mine measure from the center of the wheel to the top of the arch as such at the fornt and back I'll go measure now mine

(it not perfect with offsets etc realy you as per Renault spec says meaure the sills to the ground and take away the distance to from the ground to the center of the wheel but its good enough).

ive just measured....

16" oz superleggeras, 195/45 tyres...

front: center of wheel to wheel arch, 10.5" or 26.5cm
rear: center of wheel to wheel arch, 11.0" or 28.0cm

Tyres dn't matter its the wheels which would abigger sticking out tyre makes the dimention smaller as such and makes for an appearacne of a lowered car.
Ok just checked mine it about 35 front and rear but its ona slight slope will get it in the garage tomorrow but both sides seem about the same.

So in other words your would be about
85mm at the front
70mm at the back

I'd be interested to see what Freds car measured up as as I think his is only one cm lower at the back and a little more at the front and his is cliamed to be 110mm which using my figures is a little way off.

thats good to know :)

im limited with the front at that now as if i go any lower the wing/bumper joint bends when the wheel is turned :(

Need to go to smaller wheels or get some spare arches from a damages car and cut them away maybe as nessessary there a good 2 cm there I recon can come off you'd need to go to stiffer springs I'd bet else you'll be running on the bump stops.

Might go for the 85 at the front and 70 at the back then. but im wondering about turbing corners! wont the wheels push out my bumper/Arches/W/e's there? lol

mine are fine as it is....i kept going down in 5 turn increments to see how low i could get it before it started rubbing...and ended up at what it is now

mine are ymm duno how low, and when i do full lock my Arches make a hell of a noise, sometime like their cracking from inside, so when i do a 3point turn in a road, its usually a 12point turn now:) . when i go over small bumps in the road the wheels bang against the arches :nono: not good, tempted to lift it up a bit 2morrow if i got the time ..

so really think hard on how low you want it, if you have high speed bumps ramps to go up then id think twice, incase you damage the car

if you realyed wanted to go low ou need to rething th whole setup it could be made even lower using custom made setups of shorter dampers and at the back either space the rear axle up or go use a Cup racer setup.

nope its fully drivable, just a few gremlins in the rear loom (reverse lights don't work and a few other bits)

needs an MOT and a respray, but apart from that it goes like a rocket

believe it or not edde, front ride height is only 5mm lower with the new engine

Impressive have you gone some weight moving in the car ie battery in boot?

What weight springs are they then still 5mm lower very good.

no idea how low mine was... looked really good, but handled like a bag of shite and was almost impossible to get over most speed bumps... good job I never had a splitter!
