What do you think of this idea?

Can any one recommend this?

its what i've been looking at as i know the alpine type r series stuff is great quality. What i was thinking of doing was putting those in replacing the stock door speakers and tweeters

but also to just remove the ones in the back passengers side. Are the back ones truely needed for the overal sound, or is it just a a little something extra for passengers?

I do have 2 x 12" subs in so i really need something which can cut through with the vox,and can take alot without distorting,

If any one does want to recommend any component sets to me i would really appreciate it, perhaps with pictures so i can see what the finished job looks like. Also is it possible to get a high pass filter on some amps like you can a low pass one for bass frequencies as i would need a decent amp to amp up those alpine ones

thanks guys chris

They look pretty decent. The speakers in the back door are mainly for rear passengers but I personally like putting 6x9s in the back to help boost mid. A lot of people dont like it but it filled the sound perfectly in my opinion. You would also be ok with things like http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/3157.html or http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/5433.html or maybe even http://caraudiosecurity.com/shop/product/products_id/3967.html . It doesn't really matter so much about the power as long as you set it up right it'll cut through the bass. You can buy amps with mid/high-pass filters and I would advise to spend as much as you can on an amp. If you're unsure of what amp to go for either speak to some-one at a decent audio shop or home some-one on here can be arsed to have a good look for you ;)

I thought about 6x9's but of all my friends who have them combined with a sub it just doesnt cut it. It just seems to distort any where near a decent volume, i guess they don't amp them up but that could be a factor.

Could i possibly put in any different size speaker in the back ( not on parcel shelf but replacing the old 13cm ones.

yeah you could no problems, I had my 6x9s amped and they didn't distort but given the choice I would have rather built them into the rear panel somewhere to help clarity. A decent set of 13cm coaxials should do the trick but if you're running big volume make sure you amp them or they will distort!

Yeah i had a set of those.
They were very good although i do think they need to be amped!

Cery powerful speakers.
