I thought it was well priced, All belts done, Splitter is still on it, He says the interior is immaculate steering wheel has no melting.. Nice clean car, Which is worth paying the extra sometimes.

Just spoke to the bloke he said all belts apart from dephaser have been done at a garage with receipts (which worrys me a tad) as id like a specialist to have done it or renault themselves, He said i can have it for 3700

He cant expect top dollar for it if he didnt fork out to have the dephaser done when he had the belts done!! £600 or so to sort the dephaser when it needs doing!!

It really is a buyers market at the mo and in this deal he's laughing all the way to the bank.

Not sure I agree with this. If the dephaser is fine, why change it at 56,000 miles? I don't think the experts on here recommend it is changed unless it is rattly or has done mega miles.
The seller knows how the car has been used, it may well be a very clean car for its age and worth paying an extra £300 for when you consider some of what's for sale and he may have priced it accordingly. I assume it has caught the OP's eye for that reason.
It is so frustrating that this place has pretty much capped the value of these cars at £3K for a minter! And we wonder why MINI and VW hold their value.
