What does RT mean?

Did a search and couldn't find nothing.
I have seen a 1.4 RT for sale and want to get it for a run about
Just wondering what the RT stands for ??

the RT was the top spec one aside from the valver/williams, and i think the rapid transmission bit means closer gear ratios than the lower models. dont qoute me on that tho.

i thought it was RT - renault top as it was higher spec'd
RN for renault Normal and
RL for renault low
could be wrong though!
the S was the one with the shorter gear ratio's

Rubbish Tip / Right Tit depending on the state of the car and the driver themself...

Or Rather Tidy if its a good example or owned by a fit bird...

an RT bird can lead to RSI though folks so watch how you hold it.

Sounds like the best answer so far, I used to have a 1.2 RL which had no extras at all, I now have a 1.2 RN which has remote central locking and electric windows but then you get the RT with remote sentral locking, electric windows, electric sunroof etc etc etc...

^^^ u must renemebr that it is a french car so those letters wouldnt match up in french? if u knwo what i mean

does anyone know, i'm still interested. No french people on the forum? or french speakers

Dunno what it stands for but it was the old equivilent of what is now the Dynamique range. Bit sporty, some gadgets, not as expensive fast or posh as the renaultsport range.

Did I just call my car posh? Surely there's a better word... fancy.

Not all Rt's came with an electric sunroof. Mines didnt

My K reg RT only had eletric windows. (Manaul mirrors, sunroof and no PAS). Remote central locking though.

I doubt it's Renault Top, Middle and Low though. Who seriously wants their entry level customers knowing the manafacturer considers the car a Low. Sounds feasible but I doubt it's true. Probably just random.

I'd have preferred RT, RM, RB, top middle or bottom like Strike It Lucky.

I loved my RT.

Haha... never thought about what it means! Someone somewhere must know! Think the rusty tin one stands for mine tho...... Think the elecy sunroof was only on a select few (maybe the champs elyees) mines got elecy mirrors but no elecy sunroof

my phase 3 has lecy windows, mirrors and sunroof. The phase 2 i looked at didnt have lecy sunroof.
