What DVD Player????

Planning our home cinema room, in the process of fitting 7.1 surround sound system - 7 speakercraft aim 8 ones 8" in-ceiling pivoting speakers, with a Marantz SR5001 reciever.

Telly is a Panasonic TH-50PZ700U 50" 1080p plasma

Stuck on what DVD player to buy?? Would it be worth just getting a PS3 and using that, cos' it seems the Blueray players aint much cheaper.

Yeah I'd choose a PS3 for that setup. Can't really go wrong with it.

It's 1080p supports 7.1 and is only $489 over here, same price as a similar spec blueray player??? Can't quite get my head round what such good valve it is!!
