What exhaust clamp?

i need to replace my clamps but which ones?

standard universal u clamp or the Milakor style clamp?

Well the other day I bought a 2 1/2" u clamp for my 2 1/2" exhaust and it's was too small,
guess I need 2 3/4" or something.

well I have been and got the mikalor style clamp and it fits like a glove.

went for the smaller and bigger size as I was unsure which I needed and didn't want to be stuck with the car in the air and no way to secure the exhaust pipe.

bigger one fitted and the secured the exhaust perfectly. need another for the cat join now.

defo recommend these clamps if you have blowing issues so much easier to fit and tighten up.

I recommended them over the u bolts tbh, I will buy these in future

I ordered 1 59-63mm and 1 63-68mm.

it was not till I was under the car I realised the smaller is not use because the expand the pipe to join them. but I have a 2.5" ktec system.

check whats yours is before ordering

i have a 2.25" K-tec , best get under and measure

2.25 inches converts to 57.15mm
but
you need to look at where they join as its thicker

I bought these for my milltek system on the trophy, fitted perfectly.

I have used Mikalor clamps for years on my exhaust and they are much better than the cheap crap U clamps, they do not crimp the sleeve of the exhaust so it is easier to get off when you need to, worth spending the extra few quid.

ordered my 2nd clamp today

just an update you need to measure the bulge in the pipe.

63mm - 68mm is what I ordered
