What exhaust!

I have a 1.4 mk1 RT clio, im thinking of getting a back box exhaust (not full system), i want it to sound relly deep and really loud, lookin to spend no more than £150ish brand new. Can any one tell me what i should be lookin for?
cheers

Well, if deep and loud are what youre after, and you dont mind mild steel, then Ashleigh would be amazing for about half your budget. Its too loud for some peoples tastes though.

Yo could get a Supersprint for probably about that money, that should sound pretty good.

If its just a backbox youre looking for, and you want a lot of noise, I wouldnt rule out Peco. If you go for the stainless Boxer one and choose a subtle tailpipe (ie. oval or twin, rather than the 4" Big Bore one!), that should give you a nice sound, possible power gains and a lifetime guarantee and it shouldnt cost more than £150.

personally id save up an get a K-Tec system, you will end up wanting the middle bit somewhere along the line, ive got the 4.5" on my RT and when accelleratin its VERY VERY loud

i wouldnt go for the Peco Powermaster if you go for a Peco, it will be a b*****d to get to sit straight, trust me, i had one........though maybe you might be able to get it to sit still with poly mounts...............if you go for Peco get a round one it will be a lot less hassle

the Piper stuff fits good and sounds good......have a look at those...

Supersprint would be good for power gains but they dont tend to make much noise at all.......though, you would get a definite gain from one, they RR all there exhausts........

ive got the piper stainless steel 4" slashed cut jap style on my valver along with the center pipe/box and de-cat pipe and it sounds nice !

Would the piper 4" round slash cut make my car sound deep and loud, coz that is the kind of tail pipe im lookin for and it runs at about £107?

iv got that zorst on my 1.2 clio, and its proper deep and load :) especially in 2nd at about 30mph. u wont be disappointed, n there not 2 bad to fit eva.

Is there any way to make sure that the powermaster stays where it is?
not sure mate, maybe poly exhaust mountings would help, have a look on http://www.raldes.co.ukwww.raldes.co.uk and have a look at the Polysport bushes page
