What have i snapped while tryi g to remove the oil filter!?

First time this has ever happened!

Anyone know what this plug / sensor is? I have just snapped it while removing the oil filter.

Looks like it is screwed into the block but not sure how the other part removed from the plug side.

If you know what it is, do you know part number and if its genuine only?

Yea.

Although to be fair they're usually of little use, if the oil pressure drops low enough to set it off there's already a serious issue inside the engine.

Im picking one up from the local parts place as cant get any genuine today and need it done. Thanks for the help lads

All sorted now. Easy peasy to do just a pain when you need it there and then. Might get a spare for the next oil change just incase ha ha.
