What have you done to your car today ???

  RB Clio 182
Haha well I've got a Yanoo Kit 3.0 going in

Carbon badges for the front and rear diamonds and the interior clock instrument surround also, and a handbrake button coz it's silver and it's irritating!

Also got him checking something with the engine and the boots decided to stop opening I presume solenoid so that's being done too!

Also getting the mid pipe on [emoji14] and my snappy wheel haha!
Nice mate, I need a snappy wheel!

Reinsured it for another year with the help of Neil@greenlight. What a legend. A Flux offered to renew my policy by doubling it as I made a claim. Said no thanks to being 38 and paying £1240 to insure my 2nd car! Spoke to Neil had a long chat about swapping my NCB over from the family car I'm now paying £400 a year, much better. And saved £150 on renewing the family wagon on my missus name even wth no NCD. Cheers Neil for saving me best part of a grand. Legend.

  Track 172 Cup
Cleaned and sprayed the spare set of calipers I bought ready to fit with new fluid and track rods and ends before the next track day

Were yellow and dirty, Now just clean and Black (even though they look grey lol) Baked in the oven before painting too get them warm (not too hot though) and then given 2 coats of Black VHT paint from Halfords then Baked @ 180 deg for about 20 min lol (don't tell the missus) Got new Stainless bled nipples and a rebuild it from big red too go in, I left the old seals and pistons in for ease of spraying and not getting any inside where the piston sits..

Painted calipers and 're painted my fuel guard and inlet finally. Satin blacked my exhaust surrounds, came out great so will be doing all my other plastics in time.
Inlet was a high temp silver, looked awful!! Couldbt wait to 're do it. Painted it Peugeot metallic Graphite Grey
Painted calipers with a tin of temp resist military paint off eBay, colours lead grey. Bit different from black or silver.

Fuel guard turned out bad though. Will get paint stripper and do it again, didn't prime properly! [emoji17]

Repainted all my exterior plastics recently and really freshens it all back up. Like your engine bay. Always had a soft spot LY.

Ordered headlights, sidelights, silver visions x4, stubby aerial, mist washer jets and new rear number light unit. Looking forward to getting it all fitted!

In preparation for my new bulbs, I gave my lights a quick 2nd go over with 3000grit and polish as I wasn't happy with my work last time round. Looking better now but they're never going to be perfect.

Before...but after my half arsed first attempt a few weeks ago, although the picture really brings out the worst as from a few steps back they looked ok

After...I think I can live with them now

Obviously needed another wash afterwards too

Oh, and another screw in my gear gaitor to keep one of the edges down

Replaced pollen filter, replaced o/s washer jet, replaced front wiper blades, washed the car.

Last Saturday had the timing belt and aux belt kits replaced.

Plan to replace the rear exhaust hanger, steering wheel and get a pair of Michelin Pilot Sports fitted to the front next Saturday.

New cup shocks and eibach sportlines all round. Probably the biggest job I've ever undertaken on a car before to be honest, even though its relatively easy to do. Did three corners quite quickly, but then the last was a right t**t due to one of the strut bolts. Quick blast with the blow lamp saved the day though.

Doesn't picture very well but I took before and after measurements, and its dropped around 25mm all round. Sits perfectly for me, just needs spacers now.

I love the standard wheels though mate. They're in dire need of a refurb and some decent tyres.

Yeah iceberg is the best colour for them IMO. My last one was black and it hid the lines of the wider front arches, unlike the silver that shows them off nicely.

Reminds of my first.

Full exterior clean up using G3 Professional cleaning products.

Didn't bother with tyre dressing as it's getting a full set of Michelins fitted on Saturday. Ran out of time to give the wheels a full clean up but will do this once tyres have been fitted. Door mouldings are being replaced with phase 2 in pearl black.

Covered it up as it won't be used for a while as I've got a new one of these

And a new Dad Mobile, would it be wrong to put a Cliosport sticker on the rear window or prancing horse sneakily somewhere ?

Hopefully it'll idle now!

Fitted my Connects2 iPod adapter to the Clio this evening. Now I have my whole music collection through the OEM headunit.
The only downside is it continues charging the iPod with the ignition off, and where I don't use my car much, I have to remember to unplug the iPod when I leave the car. Still, no big deal really.

Just in desperate need of a good clean now

Had @bloke swap over my calipers while replacing my track rod and end. Now have no more squeal when I brake.

Old passenger side caliper didn't look too healthy and seals might as well not be there lol drivers didn't look too bad but was binding.

Another frustrated injured tinkerer! I was knocked out after a fall at work on Thursday, still don't feel 100% but itching to get at the Clio again as the brakes haven't been stripped and cleaned after the last track day :(
