What is it?

I have a 182 with a scorpion rs192 exhaust on running what i believe is the standard cat. I'm not massively mechanically impressive but I can see all the exhaust mounts and bushes have been refreshed for polybushed ones and the car's been massively hugely looked after so I don't know if this is normal or not.

Under the car there seems to be a joint with the exhaust maybe halfway along the car itself which seems almost like a ball shaped cylinder type thing that sits a fair bit lower than the rest of the exhaust.

The exhaust feels really tight and very well fitted so I didn't think this could be something that'd been overlooked and was wondering if anyone else's was the same? I have bought some cooksport springs and dont want this to scrape on thw floor or create clearance issues if it shouldn't be there.

I can't take any pictures now as I'm not near the car, cheers.

You may need a new olive join clamp, if you can afford to, take it somewhere that can mod it like this.

If you are just gonna fix it as is, don't use the exhaust paste, use black high temp silicone. It doesn't crack and fall out like the paste stuff does.

Hi mate I had it done and basically the bracket had worked it's way down so he lifted it up, re clamped it and now even on cooksports it's way high its really fixed it :) think by the looks the exhausts doing what the picture you posted is it's sitting right up now but not too much to avoid any vibrations it's awesome :)
