What is this sensor?

  Clio 1.4, SV650S
its a 1.4 8v E7J in a Mk2 Ph1 Clio

car keeps cutting out... normally starts again but today it was having none of it...
poked this connector and it moved a bit, bit of movement as i pushed on it, then it was solid as a rock. after that car started straight away

so hopefully this has been the problem all along... but what is it??

i'm hoping its not just luck that it started at the same time as i fiddled with this.

Has

  RS 182 - Black Gold
That is the Coolant Sensor

A common problem which can cause the car nto to start or to mis-behave

Well worth changing as they dont cost too much.
Should have any more problems after that.

sorry... is it just a case of unscrewing and fitting the new one... will coolant piss out everywhere???

also will it need some PTFE tape or similar on the threads to make the correct seal?

will torque matter, or can i spanner it?

Cheers

u can also see the TDC sensor below it... Crank sensor, tells your ecu how fast your engine is rotating for timing etc...

Has

  RS 182 - Black Gold
As mentioned the TDC sensor as well, this is usually slightly more costly tho.
