What is this wire?

Bit of a long shot - but anyone identify this wire that's been worn through?

micro relay in fusebox to the ecu.

Correct,
Relay J to pin 10.
Check fuses 1 & 5 if it has shorted out.

Thanks so much, will check fuses, but car is running 'ok'. Apart from this ongoing surging/hesitancy problem.
Assume its safe to cut and repair the wire?

10 0.35 3AA INJECTION LOCKING RELAY COIL - CONTROL

Disconnect the battery before you splice in a piece of wire.

Symptoms if wire broken or fuse blown will be car will crank, but not start, with the light in the centre of dash display illuminated (squiggly one).

Well i'm running out of things to check to be honest.
TDC sensor and compression check are about all i've got left to investigate.

I've only investigated as much as the photo shows. Will have a look tomorrow.

Looking at its position in the loom though it could possibly be running to the aircon pressure sensor plug?

Does that make me bloody sad though knowing that?
