What Laptop?

My desktop is 6 years old now and so slow it is becoming annoying.
I am looking for a laptop to replace it but no idea of what I really need.

I will be using the laptop for normal use ie internet and PP excel, word etc, playing around with my gopro videos but also using Solidworks.
With Solidworks I will not be using it for massive assemblies, as I am just teaching myself how to use it.

Now with this in mind am I better going for a gaming computer?

I had a quick look around Currys yesterday and seen a couple.
is a SSD worth having?

I was looking to pay around £600-700

Get one from here, it’s where all our cad pc come from at work. It will be better than anything from curry’s and most have a 3yr warranty.

Also if you ring them up you can usually haggle for extra ram etc.
