What size bore for mk1 172?

Need a new exhaust as mine has started blowing, what size bore is recommended for a standard mk1 172 as I'm thinking of having one made?

As much as I'd love no silencers it'd make my daily drive hell

i think standard is 2" mate, but on lare bore enines 2.5 is optimum unless your runnin a turbo then 3"
