What sort of paint?

Hi, I have had a look around the forum but I cant really find what im looking for. Ive removed both diamonds, front and rear, but im unsure of what paint to use or if i need to apply something first. I have a can of hammerite black metal paint, would this be ok to use?

Proper sand (ideally sand blast), plastic primer AKA Adhesion promotor, high build primer, colour x2 coats, clearcoat x2 coats..........finish.

Definately not metal paint!! it will flake, possibly react with plastic and generally fail!

ive done all my badges with halfords grey plastic primer, spray cans and laquer, turned out absolutly fine! have a practise on some scrap badges or something first if youve never sprayed before
