Will 20mm not be to much and push the tred out of the arch?
I must say I am tempted to put some spacers on my 172FF. The stock look looks like the arches are slightly to far out for the wheels. Where would you buy either the 5mm spacers or some larger ones and new bolts?
Do they do much for the handling? I assume it would be a bit more planted the wider the track?
20mm will be to much with lowered suspension or you will need to put some big negative camber on.
15mm is about your max i think on a mk2 rs.
if you put 5mm spacers or less on then they wont be hubcentric as there is enough lip left on the disc to support the wheel and you dont need longer bolts.
if you go for 15mm spacers then i would go for hubcentric with either systen a (longer wheel bolts) or the system b (attach spacer to hub with suplied m12 bolts and attach wheel to spacer with standard renault wheel bolts.
15mm is the minimum system b spacers come in so anything in between 6mm and 14mm you will have to be sytem a with longer bolts but try to get them hubcentric.
always try to get the aluminum spacers, they will be a bit dearer but help with the unsprung weight to keep the car as responsive/ balanced as possible.
Im sticking with 5mm. not hubcentric but there will still be the hub ring to support the wheel and the bolts should be fine.
Sport id be looking at 10-15mm hubcentrics then if 20mm would be too much... (was thinking non sport wise..) i guess as said 20mm would be way to much?
Fitted the 5mm spacers today managed to get the aliminium ones for £15, again cheers for the advice seems to be sitting much better and was able to use original bolts
