What speakers? (help)

I'm wanting to replace the standard door speakers in my 2003 cup,
I'm still keeping the original head unit.(for now....)

I'm probably looking to spend around £50 maybe a bit more, for some speakers that will offer good sound quality. (if thats possible...)
Preferable some that would improve the sound from the standard HU but will also be fine if i decided to buy a new HU in the future.

Any advice on good & bad buys would be spot on as i don't really have much of a clue about these things.

funny that, i was actually looking at those on a website the other day.
Are these a vast improvement over the standard?
Excuse my ignorance, but will the dash tweeters still work if i swapped the door speakers? i take it the standard speakers aren't components in the front doors?

I was thinking about the component route but, be cautious about taking the dash apart for the tweeters & seeing as i'm gonna be using the standard HU for a while (maybe always) then it's probably not worth the money?

the front speakers are components seperate mid and tweet with a very crude x-over

front comps would be the best upgrade

as Dink says, the standard speakers are comps, but very poor ones.

If you wanted to fit my speakers, the dash tweeters would still work if you used the existing wiring in the doors.

Comps are best, but for your £50 budget, you wont get very good ones.

Hmmm so they are components then.. god damn, makes things harder.
Harder as in, makes me think i should be getting comps. lol
I shall have a think.. and a look around..

Any ideas whether some better comps would be ok with the standard HU though? or is it a bit under powered?
What sort of price would i be looking at for a half decent set of comps?? roughly

Seen these from a shop on ebay for £95 (including delivery)
Would the tweeters from this type of set fit underneath the grilles on the dash?
